The place where Tyra met Tyra. By this time we’d move to a house on Lincoln Street. It was the first time I saw my mom become who I’d always wanted her to be. We’d move in with a family member for my mom to get back on her feet. Honestly, this place wasn’t much to proud of and if I told you some the things we had experienced you’d be emotionally enthralled . There were moments I’m sure she wish she could’ve provided more. Lincoln Street was a place of resilience. While we didn’t have much, we’d always have each other.
This pearlescent hue represents a night sky in which I gazed, hoping for better. An ending and beginning with a promising new day of possibilities. It brings back memories and moments I’d forgotten. Reminding me of the perfect balance of the innocence of youth and the perception gained from the passage of time- wisdom.
